Summit Scholarship/Financial Assistance Program
PURPOSE
In furtherance of our purpose and objective of furthering the education and increasing the knowledge being Plant Based, the Plant Based Health and Wellness Team, is excited to announce the establishment of a scholarship and financial assistance program, the purpose of which is to provide summit scholarships to attend the Plant Based Health and Wellness Summit.
The program will provide the opportunity for individuals or families who need some financial assistance to attend The Plant-Based Health and Wellness Summit; a 2-day event to educate and bring awareness and insight into the secrets of long-lasting wellness, while broadening your understanding of whole food, plant-based nutrition in preventing and even reversing many chronic diseases such as heart disease and type-2 diabetes.
AWARDS
As available funds permit, scholarships/financial assistance in the form of reduced registration fees will be awarded as follows:
- 28% ($105.00) off to attend the two-day Plant Based Health and Wellness Summit, based on the $375.00 registration price with a discounted ticket price of $270.00
- For financial hardship cases up to 50% off (determined by the committee)
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
The Plant Based Health and Wellness Committee will be responsible for overseeing the administration of the scholarship program to include directing related fundraising activities, receiving scholarship applications, and making recommendations for award selections.
SELECTION
Applications that meet the established criteria will be considered for selection by the Scholarship Committee who will make recommendation to the Board. Selection will be based on a review of the application, and the evidence of financial eligibility. The Plant Based Health and Wellness team will approve all final selections for the scholarship recipients. Award recipients will be notified immediately.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet financial eligibility, shown as having a need.
HOW TO APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP/FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
There are a limited number of scholarships with a reduced tuition fee of $270/person* for the 2-day event. Transportation and other extras are NOT included in this reduction and will be the responsibility of the individual.
If interested in applying for this scholarship, please send the following to info@pbsummit.com by July 10th:
• Verification of income from health care professional or another reputable source
• A letter detailing need for the scholarship, and how the individual(s) would benefit by coming to the Plant-Based Health and Wellness Summit
• Name, Email and Telephone number
Our scholarship committee will make all decisions within 5 business days of receiving the application and will inform all applicants via email or phone.
*Our scholarship committee may consider a special group rate or payment plan, if a case can be made for a reduction.
